FAQ

Is Champions of Hope a registered 501(c)3 organization?

Yes.  Our ministry  is a 501(c)3 non-profit and we operate solely by donations.  All donations are tax-deductible and receipts for donations are mailed in January of the following year.  We appreciate all who give to make our work possible.  To read more about giving, click here.

How is Champions of Hope different from other mentorship programs in Dallas?

Faith-based:  All our mentors are Christians and are upheld to a signed statement of faith. (See What We Believe)

Long-term commitment: We ask our mentors to mentor a child from the 4th to the 12th grade.  (We require a minimum 2 year commitment.  See also Expectations of Mentors)

South Dallas:  We are solely focused on reaching children in South Dallas (75215, 75210).  Our mission and desire is to see individual and community transformation in the South Dallas/Fair Park neighborhood. We are currently targeting children in the Lincoln High School feeder schools.  All of our energy and efforts are focused on this one community to see lasting, generational change in the years to come.
